Update: You can use lithium 3.7v 14500 batteries with this flashlight, although it does heat up the flashlight casing a good bit. But if you are looking to turn night into day on night vision cameras, it does that! Probably about 300% brighter us

Too small of an IR to be any good. Compact but completely inadequate for any real use with night vision products. Roughly 30 – 50 feet on its most focused setting. Save your money.
